It is the same.  In fact, oddly, some C64's did come with black power supplies.

CD32 has that microcontroller stuff for extra buttons, it uses the same 9-pin plug so you can plug in ordinary Amiga joystick.

Woah, I've never seen the power supply for the CD-32 before.  It's exactly like the C-64 supply (but black).  I thought it would have looked like the A1200 supply.

Did the CD32 have a microcontroller inside, or did it have hard-wired buttons like old Amiga joysticks and Sega Genesis controllers?
