A more "English" nature wallpaper

Description: This is the view across the valley from a farm near my stepdad's house. It doesn't have that McNature feel to it that the Microsoft wallpapers have, and it's also rather more spacious and charming.

And not a charver in sight! :-D

Looks like a backdrop for a scene outta Young Lady Chatterly's Lover.... or a high speed chase scene outta Benny Hill...

Me too, but I don't have any pictures of my favorite big hill at the moment. :-(

You didn't know GB could be that nice?! You haven't seen anything yet. From the sub tropical islands of Scilly with their miles of deserted white sand beaches and palm trees to the snow covered mountains of the Scottish Highlands, English Lakes and Wales' Snowdonia, it's one of the most beautiful countries I know. The problem with the UK is that so many days are overcast and damp it often does not look at its best. When the sun is shining and everywhere is so lucious, verdant and green - it's nothing short of breathtaking.

Did you just OCR that from a tour brochure? ;-)

Those are just wild grasses, come Autumn it'll be hay I think. Most of the land you can see is used for grazing sheep, but the one in the foreground appears to have been empty this year. :-)

Hey, didn't know GB could look that nice.
Where did all the trees go, and what crops are those? Pastureland? I rate it a 9. (Omigod, shades of American Idol (yeech).

Reminds me of my My Island (small pic_10k) :-)
