leirbag28 Posts:1793 ![]() | August 31, 2004, 07:42:04 PM @that_punk_guy Well an Amiga style case doesn't necessarily have to be Vanilla like the A1200 or the same exact design case....................I think what people mean is just and entire computer inside a keyboard like the A500, A600, A1200, but maybe more sleek and cool colors like Silver, Pure white with gloss like the macs.......or jet blak with glowing blue light etc... you get thee idea. I once saw a mockup of an Amiga 1200 looking laptop that was jet black with a CDROM drive attached that opened up just like a CD32 CDROM drive. It looked so cool! it had glowing blue light and had an LCD attached.........it was really like a 1200 desktop with an LCD attached rather than a Laptop. I thought it was real at first and that Commodore was going to produce it. I saw it in some magazine like Amiga Shopper or something like that.cant remember the issue. Ill try to scan it some day. |
Waccoon Posts:1057 ![]() | August 18, 2004, 01:10:11 AM It amazes me that keyboards with only the keypad chopped off haven't become more popular. I mean, it saves space and still leaves the arrow keys functional. Only typists really benefit from the keypad. I don't think a lot of games use it anymore now that they have USB joysticks with 50 buttons for sim fans. |
that_punk_guy Posts:4526 ![]() | July 08, 2004, 10:42:50 AM I'd really like to see an Amiga style case... but unfortunately my idea of "Amiga style" probably looks too retro to gain the acceptance of those who want Amigas to become popular once more. |
Matt_H Posts:6412 | May 06, 2004, 04:55:47 PM Get someone to massproduce the Boing ball case that's been made? I'm still hoping for a 1200-style case so I won't have to do it myself... |
weirdami Posts:3776 | May 06, 2004, 04:33:13 AM Now, what we need is an Amiga style case. Anything that's not in an Apple transparent neon case is considered a "PC", so we need some sort of identifying theme that all Amiga OEM's will adhere to, as an unwritten rule, that will make any Amiga box (I guess we have to call them boxes now, eh?) identifiable as Amiga-inside. Maybe exhaust ports? |
Matt_H Posts:6412 | May 06, 2004, 12:59:30 AM Nice monitor and case. And OS, of course. That keyboard looks good for a luggable system, but I don't think I'd want to use it for normal desktop use. |
