darksun9210 Posts:1319 | June 27, 2008, 01:05:15 PM i've still got a Vic, in its original box, with original "commodore service center" repair tape all over it from when i think it was the PSU died. plus tape drive (boxed), 16kB ram expander, and cartridges (all boxed). my favourite was lunar lander. plus that magazines used to print basic source code on the inside of the back cover for fun little projects and stuff. no over disk or cover cd/dvd, but cover source code! mwahahaha! |

vortexau Posts:1341 ![]() | January 24, 2004, 02:15:57 PM I still own the magazines in which these kind of ads appeared. Commodore, thanks to their practise of lowering their prices, opened up home computer ownership to millions. Some competitors products (in the early eighties) sold for THREE TIMES the figure that Commodore marked at. |
that_punk_guy Posts:4526 ![]() | January 08, 2004, 02:25:25 AM I really need to learn my Commodore 8-bit history. Plus/4, VIC 20, C64, etc... I don't know enough about these beasts! SX-64s looked cool though :-) |

HopperJF Posts:1531 ![]() | December 26, 2003, 11:05:40 PM it's a good ad makes you wonder where commodore marketing went wrong |
