Lazy coding...
Lazy coding...

Description: Networks can make you very lazy. There was a time when I'd physically sit at the machine I was going to develop code on. Now, I seem to sit at the linux box and do it all from there :)

I keep a shared directory in my E-UAE installation (hence the odd looking path) where all the my code now lives. I use KDevelop (each to their own, I guess) to edit source. For 3.x, I can just run E-UAE to compile and test. I can also mount the share on my networked A1200 and test from there too.

OS4.1 makes this laziness so much worse. Thanks to being able to bind shells to TCP and remote desktop via AmiVNC, I don't even have to be in the same room as the box to develop for it and test on it.

I'm going to get fat at this rate...

You're right, 3D is kind of slow over VNC, but as it is a unit test application it doesn't much matter. You don't need a fast display to observe that you rendered a triangle correctly for a given selection of states ;)

Sweet, but surely 3D doesn't work very well over VNC?
