Lockon_15 Posts:304 | December 29, 2008, 04:50:23 PM I always knew Blizzard goes to good home. Reboots might be related to inadequate cooling solution, I doubt anything else might be causing that...try hotglueing a heatsink, even as a temporary measure...040 gets warm to a touch in less than 20 seconds of operation... ...oooh, and don't foget to report SysInfo MIPS bench after "060 surgery"... Enjoy m8 ! ![]() |
darksun9210 Posts:1319 | December 23, 2008, 07:24:07 AM aww man, this was a total shock. seeing this sat on the side when i got home yesterday. thing is, this has taken 3months to get here! i'd given up hope of this ever arriving! :-D obviously i've plugged this sucker in straight away and got 30+mips out of it in sysinfo, and 50fps in 1x1 pixel mode in extreme racing! :-) but then reboots. either heat or power. not sure which yet, didn't get to spend much time on it last night. anyway, much joy as it pained me to think of a blizzard forever "lost in transit" --edit-- reboots were power related. running off of a stock A500 PSU like a dream. :-D its all heatsink'd up :-) |
X-ray Posts:4370 ![]() | December 22, 2008, 11:48:26 PM Some nice stuff there, well done! That's still the best feeling: opening up a package with Amiga stuff in it. Even second hand goods can give you a warm feeling, I felt pretty good when I got my first DKB3128. |
