Description: After a whole 45 mins of brain storming and playing with the dremil I got it in and working. then it stopped working and now it works again. I only installed on header as I don't want to draw too much power and I'm going to use a powered hub to connect things to it

fidelTFG Posts:64 ![]() | May 26, 2008, 01:36:28 AM you still have to cut the little trap door on the back to mount the socket. The pack includes two brackets for installation in to a tower or desktop case. It would have been awesome if in had a back plate that fit the in place of the trap door, but not too hard to make the hole, but i did mess it up a wee bit, It can be put in under the floppy drive, but I may want to use that for something else. As for pulling out the RF modulator, I never though of that as I did not want to touch the main board. Speed, I don't really know as I have nothing to compare it to, except may PC, and its never going to be as fast. I have a 030 in there and its fast enough to use with out any problem. I have only tried a couple of cf and SD cards, a cd drive some razor mice. all function without problem except I have to restart every now and them coz' the subway does not always recognize when new devices are plugged in. That may just be my lack of fine tuning the configuration settings. |

DBAlex Posts:304 | May 25, 2008, 08:09:30 PM NICE! So you have to make a whole for the ports? Bummer... I thought I could just slot it in the whole at the top right of the miggy... or would it not fit? Is it hard to make a hole for it? Also how easy is attaching it to the clockport..? Also one final question (hehe sorry :-D) how fast is it? Would it be quick enough on an 030? Cheers! (If you didn't guess I am on the verge of buying one of these :-)) |
