Description: This can be done if You take a standard PC MicroATX PSU (100x125x75 mm = apx. 4x5x3 in), remove the original fan and replace it with a 60mm low-profile version. I have the fortune to have access to a milling machine at work, so I could mill away a round part in the low/inside ventilation grate to reduce air-flow resistance. The PSU I used is a Fortron/Source FSP145, but I recon any PSU with the given form factor would fit nicely. As You can see fron the picture, the live side is pemanently connected, and the original power switch now controls a remote on/off function. The PSU is switched on by grounding the remote wire (green). Picture Stats: Views: 1379 Filesize: 100.5kB Height: 768 Width: 1024 Posted by: Eriond at May 01, 2008, 01:53:52 PM Image Linking Codes
