OMG - Why not just copy it via a low density floppy from the PC to the Amiga... or do you not have a PC with a floppy drive anymore?  :-D

I hope you did any needed byte-swapping before you started typing things in.

BTW, I'd just get a null modem cable and transfer it that way.  If you have a hex/disk editor you have to have at least a basic terminal or workbench disk right?

Hmm good point. Just noticed this on the AE web site:

Quote

Once installed on the Windows side, Amiga Explorer can self-install to the Amiga over the serial cable without requiring any additional software, but the Amiga must be able to boot first (e.g. with a Workbench disk, at least version 1.2)

Maybe the disk he is transferring manually is a Workbench disk.

If it is case, why not simply use Amiga Explorer to transfer the file directly to a real disk? :-?

Let me get this right. You're viewing the ADF in a hex editor on the PC and manually entering all the values in to a hex editor on the Amiga. Is that right? I'm guessing you don't have any way to transfer ADFs to your Amiga, and the disk you're manually copying over is Amiga Explorer or something similar?

Ahh... there's nothing more relaxing than typewriting a nice 880k disk while listening to some oldschool mods thru a pile of speakers...
