Amigaz Posts:1959 | January 02, 2008, 07:00:31 AM @Keropi My dilemma is that most of my A4000 only have a DD floppy and HD floppy's are damn expensive for Amiga's on the 2nd hand market :boohoo: |
Jeff Posts:1410 | January 02, 2008, 01:18:31 AM The floppy controller on the Vortex with a PC 1.44 drive is about twice as fast as the Amiga HD floppy drive though. Other than that it really isn't needed. I agree the FPU is pretty much useless. Both optional chips came with the board. Many thanks to Keropi for helping me get this set up! |
keropi Posts:2466 | January 01, 2008, 09:38:56 PM fpu is useless LOL and if u have a HD floppy on your amiga, the floppy chip is pretty much useless too amigo! |
Amigaz Posts:1959 | January 01, 2008, 01:33:09 PM Nice :-) Where did you find the floppy controller chip and the FPU? |
