Description: Additional "Internal" mods include: -PCMCIA Access LED mod -Remounted HDD -CPU Temperature sensor -Stripped down and cleaned keyboard -External and internal Molex power connectors -Custom chips heatsink -Floppy drive better insulated from RF shield and cleaned out -Raised RF shield around CPU connector -(Waiting for chance to add KS3.1 ROM's) (Previous mods include HDD addition, HyperCom Junior, A1200/4 upgrade to Blizzard 1230 IV, and the "Arctic Blizzard" '030 heatsink) Additional "External" mods: -CPU Temperature sensor LCD -Raised rear of A1200 by means of a wooden slat to allow better clearance and airflow to the '030 heatsink -USB Power connectors -9v DC regulator for frame grabber fed from A1200 power supply -And other additional extras... Note how the two lower tabs on the HDD caddy have been removed - Once reassembled the case wouldn't shut as a result of the keyboard being too high, which was in turn due to the HDD caddy supports and the floppy drive bracket (Adjusted later...) sitting too high :-? . Foam pads now press from the back of the keyboard onto the modified HDD caddy. This may be due to the new custom chip heatsink (See my other photos), though I somehow doubt it. Hodgkinson Posts:1080 | April 09, 2008, 12:07:50 PM They can do. Sometimes this causes graphics errors, and besides, the cooler they run, the longer they'll last. Just run a high-end AGA demo and feel around the IC's - Especially Alice - As they'll heat up real quick. |

I acutally thought about swapping it with one on another A1200D, but having seen those metal tabs break off on the lower RF shield, I figured that it was barely worth the hassle. |
