Description: Front view of the A4000-060 XP Accelerator for A4000(T). This is most likely the "desktop" version of the Quikpak 060 card. Previously unknown to me, but when my A4000T showed up, this was inside :-) You can see more photos on my webpage: http://www.hd-zone.com/amiga/A4000T.html Picture Stats: Views: 2009 Filesize: 275.89kB Height: 768 Width: 1024 Posted by: HammerD at December 03, 2007, 07:27:48 AM Image Linking Codes

HammerD Posts:801 ![]() | December 05, 2007, 06:04:18 AM No I don't believe it is socketed unforunately. Also the CPU appears to be an LC version which has NO FPU! And thus does not work properly! Small Edit: it is fully working MMU/FPU/CPU....the memory I originally had wasn't compatible with it. All is fine now, however the card was never really used by me and is thus in storage. It is not a GVP branded board, but a Quikpak XP revision 2 "Desktop" edition. Produced for Quikpak for A4000T, perhaps it's optimized version of the original Quikpak 060 card, which was quite big. Also should physically fit in A4000. SCSI is optional. |
alexh Posts:3644 | December 04, 2007, 09:40:08 AM It's not an A4060 TREX-II rev 2, the photographs of that card show a similar but very different layout. I cannot find any photo's of a TREX-II rev 1, but I doubt that it is that card either. (It's got Rev 2 on it after all!) It is perhaps the prototype or successor to the A4060? Ralph Bable who worked there is still around, you could ask him? Or talk to GregDonner as he had the jumper settings for that specific card (which seem to have been passed off as the jumper settings for the A4060 for a long time, so they are probably the same!) |
TjLaZer Posts:3245 | December 04, 2007, 03:49:53 AM Does yours have a socketted oscillator? Mine does and I can put a 60MHz or higher oscillator on it. 60Mhz works fine in my 4000D but higher it does overheat due to cramped case. |
HammerD Posts:801 ![]() | December 03, 2007, 11:50:08 PM Yes I already sent you a mail about it ![]() |
alexh Posts:3644 | December 03, 2007, 10:37:29 PM It's perhaps a successor to the A4060 (aka TREX-II). Minus SCSI. http://www.gregdonner.org/gvp4060/gvp4060.html http://www.gregdonner.org/gvp4060/A4000-060XP.pdf Never seen one in real life, or a picture, so they are quite RARE. Can I have permission to use them on BBoAH http://amigahardware.mariomisic.de/cgi-bin/showhardware_en.cgi?HARDID=255 |

djbase Posts:996 | December 03, 2007, 07:11:44 PM Does anyone knows who made this card? Looks a bit like GVP. |
Amigaz Posts:1959 | December 03, 2007, 05:19:58 PM I wonder if it takes advantage of EDO RAM like the "real" Quikpak accel. |
TjLaZer Posts:3245 | December 03, 2007, 03:21:24 PM This card runs Windows XP SP2. ![]() I have this card, but mine has the SCSI on it. Got it new from Software Hut 4 years ago or so. Very nice card, runs at 65MHz stable. |
