Description: Not a particularly good image - but a taster of what I've been up to lately. Image shows my cheapo A600 tower project featuring: Combined DIY PC mouse and keyboard adapter hooked up to the tower's USB ports. AT PSU (soon to be ATX). DIY RGB and audio to scart lead (soon to be 15-pin VGA and scart socket). ROM switcher (thanks Marcus). PC floppy drive. Things to sort out - 3.5" HD and DVD-ROM (for use as CD-ROM). DrDekker Posts:325 | November 03, 2007, 01:01:23 PM Hi Dave - great to hear from you. Yeah the mat's a bit on the thick side - beats running the optical mouse over the bogs dollocks though! |
dbrads Posts:117 | November 03, 2007, 10:24:43 AM Hello Doc! Cool project, 99% of the fun is doing the project so enjoy! I think you could do with a less "chunky" mouse mat though. |
DrDekker Posts:325 | November 02, 2007, 01:10:42 PM Agreed they look cool when new - but after 15 years of yellowing to a dirty nicotine shade - not so cool! Other reasons for the conversion are: Originally intended to towerise my A500+ mobo - but the tower case was too small  It's a dummy run to determine any pitfalls and solutions before I towerise my A1200. I'm using up cheap/redundant PC parts to 'enhance' the Amiga 'experience'. Enclosing as much in the way of peripherals, power supply and adapters as possible - in one (heavy) box. :-) To enable me to tuck the tower away and operate wirelessly (haven't got much desk space). Because I can  |
Matt_H Posts:6412 | November 02, 2007, 01:37:28 AM Erm... why tower an A600? They're virtually unexpandable and it's their tiny desktop case that makes them cool... |
