Only difference among A1k and other Amigas is the -12v(-5V) on power pin...

If i'm not mistaken, the A1000 had some pins on the serial port reversed, so this may be the reason that it is A1000 specific.

I actually found the schematics of a midi interface for the Amiga on (i think) Maplin electronics site.

Help me out here guys, its been awhile since I owned the A1k. It had to do with the strange reason of the parallel and serial ports polarity being reversed (I'm not sure on this), if anyone can explain that.

I you wanted to use this with another model (500, 2000, 3000 etc.), I think you have to use a gender changer.

Here's a BBOAH example of another companies connector. BBOAH

What makes it specifically for the A1000? It looks like a parallel or serial connector (can't tell which from the pic) so what would stop it working on any other Amiga?

No, I never had a use for it. I've just been schleping it around with me all these years. I hope someone with An A1k can take it.

That's Great! Are you still using it? You probably should back up that floppy to "adf" or something before it goes bad.
