Description: A photograph of the document that essentially started the internet at CERN, Switzerland, in 1989 (Without it Amiga.org wouldn't be here ;-) )

Note the "Vauge but exciting" written at the top of the document.

Photo taken at the CERN Visitors centre, Geneva.
(Halogen spot lights and glass boxes ... Grrr ...)

Well, you might have a point there. But the internet in general did (Apparently) originate from the ideas in this letter, and most people seem to consider the internet and email as one these days.

The document looks to me like it says vague.

Oh nevermind, the commenter misspelled it.

:-D

I've just been on holiday to Switzerland so I thought I'd upload the image anyway.

I've got a picture of the computer that Tim Berners-Lee used if anyones interested, also taken at CERN.
