Description: This is a completely Amiga-unrelated picture. If it gets moderated away it is deserved but... If you were wondering why it takes so long for Minimig to get released. This is the reason. Tubez rule!

Hmm, thats before components became real components with proper chips with legs on that went in thru holes. I wonder if they are military grade valves  ;-)

They are becoming rare...

That is a myth, and as such applies to vynil records too!

The small tubes are electro harmonic (indeed!) type ecc81 and ecc82. The big tubes are Svetlana SV6550C in ultra-linear operation.

@Aeroman

Looks like the amp uses Electro Harmonix tubes to me.

Tube amps sounds better 'cause they "round" waves peaks!

Transistor based amps not!

Wow! Very nice job. Damn near professional looking. Its simple, hook it up to an Amiga, and its related.

The sound from a valve amp is very pure, although you do have to wait whilst they heat up to get a nice sound.

Amazing! :-o

It wouldn't look out of place in a sci-fi film set in Edwardian times or an early episode of Doctor Who. :-)

Quality.

Excellent work! I think you should have used some tubes in MiniMig's design :lol:
