@keropi
or
@AmigaKit

Will it work in a Plain A600 with clockport adaptor? and how well will it work?  I have a Special  Clockport for the A600 made by Jens (Individual Computers)

I know the MASPlayer works ok with not too much CPU load.

@Mr

no there is no volume control for now, just hook it on the pIV cdrom input  :lol:
also it comes with no cable... the cable must be female-male to be used with mp3@64

congrats Coolit!  :-D

Thats great news,

I ordered one from Amigakit and a 9cm clockport extension ribbon:)

I'm going to hook it up internally to the SB128 that I have in my mediator using the aux_in, hopefully it should work really well!

Thanks for posting about this keropi! I'll let you know how well it works on an A1200.

Plus, does it come with any cable? I think that if I install this on my x-surf it will stick far out on the side, maybe preventing the case from closing... ?

Keropi, I think it lacks volume control?

just tested with a VBR320 kbps mp3, it played perfect!

@moto:
yes, there must be 3-4 pins near the paula area, I remember I got an A4000D from a german guy, that had the cdrom audio connected there....

Does the A4000 have an input for CD Audio in its motherboard? If so I might think about getting one of these.

sound quality is great, it uses a 24bit/96khz DAC .... I don't know how it will do on the A1200 clockport, if u have 040/060 u would be OK I think... I tested in zorro clickport with a csppc 060 ... u also need a clockport riser to plug the cable, the cable alone will not fit easy with the fastata in place... get a riser too , and use max 10cm for clockport extension cable...

Hi, yeah one of these FAST ATA

I think it would fit with a ribbon cable and have the MP3@64 in a remote location in my case (D-Box tower). I've messaged Amigakit anyway:)

So your impressed with it and the sound quality is good with little CPU load?  :-o

fastata eh? u would need a clockport extension cable for sure, the clockport riser alone is not that good, it would touch the mediator...

This seems pretty cool!

I'd be interested in one of these if it will fit my A1200 clock port with a Mediator and FAST ATA attached.

it must connect to the a1200 clockport, the driver readme says:

Requirements
~~~~~~~~~~~~
You will need the MP3@64 Player, connected to a clockport of the following
Zorro cards (or internal clockports of your A1200):
- Highway USB
- Unity Prototype
- X-Surf
- ISDN-Surfer
- VarIO
- Buddha flash
- Kickflash
it uses only little cpu load, just to transfer data to clockport... did not test VBR, I will very soon, for now I removed it from the home amiga, no space, subway more usefull!
I will test 2morrow on the work amiga!
it works with amplifier, Frogger, MPEGMovie , any soft that lets u use an external device as decoder... did not succeed to maka amigaamp use it though  :-(
edit: every now and then, there can be some 1/2sec delay, that is normal due to the driver... no big deal though!
And does it mean no CPU load?
Does it play VBR mp3s?
Cool!
Will this connect to a standard A1200 clockport?
Does it work with AmigaAmp etc?
:-D
