Description: mm...Not a good sign huh? Well..good thing only the audio was effected. The video worked fine. And note about the Ports module as far as I know the only thing that did not work on the board was the serial port. The mouse worked fine..not sure about the joystick, or parallel port..either way..needs to be replaced. Enjoy the picks and my pain..lol Rich Picture Stats: Views: 1773 Filesize: 246.14kB Height: 768 Width: 1024 Posted by: Vlabguy1 at February 19, 2007, 06:55:00 PM Image Linking Codes

da9000 Posts:922 | November 01, 2007, 09:08:40 AM Yeah, it will go inside the board too, through vias and then it can be deadly. BTW, I love the close-up detail on the photo! |
rkauer Posts:3263 | October 27, 2007, 11:34:41 PM The bad thing about leaking caps is the leakage don't simply corrode the board traces: it go underneath them and detach them from the board itself! The best thing to do is change those two little beasties with two unpolarized units. Each three years, at least. |
da9000 Posts:922 | July 28, 2007, 06:25:53 AM I replaced all my SMD electrolytics with tantalum bead capacitors for avoiding this exact image, although before I got to do that one of them leaked and green-screened my machine until I spotted it and cleaned up and replaced it. |
Vlabguy1 Posts:1264 | May 28, 2007, 04:07:20 AM Good advice..lol..I actually got a brandy new board...not too long ago.. :-) well I replaced the A/V board and the Ports board..with new ones.. |
da9000 Posts:922 | March 17, 2007, 09:36:46 AM I recommend you fix that immediately, because the acid will keep on corrupting your board... |
