Description: Here is the rear view of the new USB ports on my A4000T. I took the metal backplanes off the ports that came with my Subway and just attached the ports directly to the A4000T case. The holes don't line up exactly but because the connectors are plastic, they can be squeezed to fit. This is better than wasting a Zorro slot backplane just for USB connectors. I have tested these ports and they are very secure. I only need two. Also visible is a Compact Flash card. This is connected via an IDE to CF adapter. I haven't finalised the mounting of the adapter but I can either attach it to the ports module or use Pratley's putty to secure it. X-ray Posts:4370 ![]() | February 04, 2007, 11:01:01 AM I just realised that if I mount the Compact Flash adapter in that position, I will have to cut a slot in the drive chassis, otherwise I won't be able to remove the drive chassis. |
