LoadWB Posts:2901 | March 30, 2008, 04:42:59 PM My boot screens and audio did not increase the boot time significantly. I do not recall what I used to display the images or play the sounds, but both were very light-weight programs and I ran them in the background. My friends used to love my boot screen of the Windows 3.1 logo with bullet holes in it and the background of "Weendows? Weeee don't need no steenking Weendows!" Or the later fade-in and fade-out of the Amiga logo timed to the AHX sound theme. Ahhhhh... |

OS4 has a similar feature. If you turn on the play sound at startup option, it does exactly what Windoze does! The whole system comes to a screeching HALT until the sound is done playing. |

Ral-Clan Posts:1979 | January 15, 2007, 04:23:16 PM Hi, unless I'm mistaken, aren't these bootpics all commonly available on Aminet? If so, why are you posting them here? If you made them yourself, I apologise. |
