That`s an Amiga 2000 PCM Serial Interface.

The main chip on the card is a digital signal processor. HSP45106 is a Harris chip. They are based in Melbourne Florida, not too far from Cape Canaveral, where they launch the space shuttle.

looks like one of those wierd 8 port serial cards. as for the cpu slot issue, the cpu slot, is pretty much the same as a zorro2 slot, and the same as an A500/A1000 edge connector. wouldn't be too difficult to hand wire an adapter using some butchered ISA slot edge connectors. maybe it came from a case that had such an adapter?

who knows. just my 2pence worth  :-)

PCM??  Why so many pins??  Why does it go in the accelerator slot if it's just serial??
