Matt_H Posts:6412 | September 11, 2006, 06:46:14 PM It's AmigaKit that has them. I'm thinking of getting some :-) Trouble for the 4000 is that Commodore's bays aren't quite standard. The faceplates mount with screws rather than popping into place, as all contemprary plates do. Who knows, maybe it does fit, but my 4000 is not with me at the moment so I can't check. @ orange Honestly, just find a CD or DVD drive. They come pretty small these days. I've got a fairly large (read: old) drive in my 4000 and there's still a good amount of clearance behind it. It may even end up being cheaper than finding an old plate. A (broken) DVD drive I have is even shorter. |
Nitro Posts:158 | September 11, 2006, 05:58:43 PM I remember some place selling faceplates with "AMIGA" cut into them, mayble it was Vesalia or Amigakit. I can`t remember which, but it wasn`t that long ago I saw them. |
orange Posts:2796 | September 11, 2006, 07:48:03 AM Not enough space for airflow. Besides I don't really need it 'cause Amiga has Ariadne card connected to server. I'd like to find somewhere a 5,25" card reader that connects to IDE; it would be more useful than CD.. |
