Commodore A3630 CPU Card
Commodore A3630 CPU Card
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: This is an 030 CPU card for an A3000 or A4000. This is a Revision 1 board with an EC 030 at 25mHz and a 68882 co-processor also at 25mHz. I have used this card successfully in my A4KT for trouble-shooting. I bought it quite cheaply from Vesalia.

@AJCopeland

Just a guess but it looks like it might have been for a PGA socket for a 68882 ?

The space to the left is intended for a 68020 PLCC, the rightmost space is for a PGA FPU.

I can only guess: 68020
These were originally designed to be 020 or 030 boards, but according to BBOAH the 020s were found on prototypes only. These ones in general circulation are all 030 boards.

I wonder what U200 (the empty chip mounting point on the left) was for.
