tokyoracer Posts:1590 | December 27, 2007, 06:34:46 PM PC sound cards can do that if you butalize them enough, especially if your anything like a friend of mine who loves his experimental noise. |
rkauer Posts:3263 | December 02, 2007, 09:41:46 PM BTW: exactly those two evil spawns are the cause of many many sound-related problems in every Amiga since A1000! A hint: swap them with two non-polarized units! |
rkauer Posts:3263 | April 27, 2007, 12:19:11 AM I know I'm boring when I talk about this: change ALL elet. caps your Amiga have every 3~5 years is a very good idea. Prevents leaks, electrical ripple (some most common cause of computers misbehaving) and a plus: you'll check your Miggy's inside frequently for other problems, too.:-D |
orange Posts:2796 | August 28, 2006, 12:57:24 PM Only audio was affected. Amiga would produce annoying cracking sound like 'static' even when no audio was played. Here is an excellent site with lots of info: A4000 audio repair (The author of the site was very helpful after sending him email.) In my case replacing the two SMD capacitors solved problem. PS. Desktop models of A4000 are affected too.. :-( high res version |
