Description: PS2 mouse adapter built on copper strip board. not particularly pretty or small, but works perfectly and probably best suited to homebrewed A1200 tower conversions or WHY.

DrDekker Posts:325 | January 30, 2007, 01:09:35 PM Actually it's neither of those. It's called PS2M and as far as I can remember it was designed by a Russian lad who also created DEVPIC. Maybe. |
InTheSand Posts:1766 | January 25, 2007, 12:08:01 AM Hi, If you can't be bothered to build one, this eBay seller appears to be making them (as well as other cables for old computers) - free shipping too. Note: I have no connection with the seller and haven't ordered anything from him/her - just thought the info would be of use! - Ali EDIT: the original project author's web site is here. |
countzero Posts:1938 | September 07, 2006, 03:41:27 PM I think the hack is this one. I tried to build it too, but I'm not good with soldering stuff and it looks like {bleep}e. this is a very tidy mod, congrats. putting the cables coming from the mb side into connectors is a nice touch, I'll try that as well. my board is a mess at the moment. wouldn't mind to see the other side of this board. |

DrDekker Posts:325 | April 27, 2006, 10:07:41 PM _yak_ Unfortunately I don't know how to add links to posts (duh!), but I can tell you that I based the adapter on the 'PS2M' design (which can be found on the net) and used the COM84 PIC programmer (very simple and easy to build) with Winpic software to programme the PIC16F84 chip. This was my first attempt at building such an adapter and, as a consequence it's a little bit on the large side. Although it'll be fine for a tower project, I'm going to build another one soon that will hopefully fit into a 9-pin hood for use with one of my standard Amigas. I can email you all the relevant info if you like. |
