Description: This is a current, March 2006, image of the Amiga Floppy Project, which is a PC-based external USB amiga floppy drive controller. Attach an amiga external drive to the one side, run USB to the PC. Run Windows software, and create .ADF's from the floppies. Pretty straightforward and the project is still ongoing. kamiga Posts:165 ![]() | March 29, 2008, 01:36:15 PM I just saw your message now. To check the status, please visit the blog at http://www.techtravels.org/amiga/amigablog Since this was posted, the changes I've made are roughly 1> new smaller cleaner circuit board 2> uses regular PC floppy drive, no longer is an external amiga drive needed 3> java software is the main client, running on windows. 4> everything works! ![]() |

InTheSand Posts:1766 | March 24, 2006, 11:25:09 AM This looks interesting - there are quite a lot of people who'd buy something that'd give the Catweasel's functionality through a USB port... Have you posted this to the main forums anywhere? I only found it in the pictures section by accident! - Ali |
Nitro Posts:158 | March 24, 2006, 08:13:55 AM I would buy one for sure, if it gets produced. |
kd7ota Posts:1433 | March 23, 2006, 07:29:43 PM Nice project. Would be pretty good if it could be produced and made. Wouldnt mind connecting a USB to the front of my computer and having an Amiga drive to lug around and write ADFs ![]() |
