Description: This is what my Workbench looks like at the moment. The specifications for the hardware I am running on looks like this: A1200, Mirage Tower, PC-Key 1200, Blizzard 1260/50, SCSI Kit, 256MB RAM (16MB + 128MB at the moment, though), 40GB HD, Mediator SX, Soundblaster 128, Voodoo 3 and Realtek 8139. It might be that this grab is very "arty" (oooh, look .png icons, oooh, look, Amplifier) but I still think it manages to capture the essence of my preferences when it comes to the looks of my Workbench: It's "clean". Legerdemain Posts:443 ![]() | May 31, 2006, 12:28:46 AM @Zombi Thanks! That made this otherwise rather numb day turn into something quite nice instead! Cheers! |

Legerdemain Posts:443 ![]() | May 29, 2006, 09:25:58 PM Not to be egocentric or anything, but I have to say that I find it quite funny to have, out of three votes, a score of 3.67 out of a possible 10... :-P ...is it really THAT ugly? |
Legerdemain Posts:443 ![]() | February 10, 2006, 08:20:15 AM Quote what's the resolution ? 1024*768 ? One simple way to find out would be to check the resolution of the image, hehe, but, yes, 1024*768 is the resolution I am currently using. :-) I could go for 1280*1024, but then I start to notice some small slowdowns, and furthermore my monitor isn't really suited for that kind of resolution. |
zombi Posts:123 | February 10, 2006, 07:36:15 AM @Legerdemain: Thanks a lot. For the info. For wallpaper i am looking to deviantart.org it is the best place to find really good background images (i hate those crappy 3d wallpp thingeys) But for the other stuff, i mean icons and software etc. it reaqure loong downloding/trial/error sessions. So thanks |

Legerdemain Posts:443 ![]() | February 10, 2006, 04:36:01 AM Quote Man, please give me the names of the softwares you used and icons package etc. i really love this setup. And i want to apply same to my uae setup. I've used the following: VisualPrefs 1.5k http://de4.aminet.net/util/wb/VisualPrefs.lha PaperBlue (VisualPrefs Theme) http://main.aminet.net/pix/theme/PaperBlue.lha LimpidClock 1.16 http://main.aminet.net/util/wb/limpidclock.lha The wallpaper is a, by me, reworked version of one of the wallpapers that came with a previous version of StyleXP's Panther theme. Changed the colour, resolution, cropped it a bit and added a transparent bar to the left for my icons. http://www.tgtsoft.com/ The windowbackgrounds comes from the MacOSX theme that is to be found on AmiNet. It's actually the backdrop which is to be used with MagicMenu. http://de4.aminet.net/util/wb/MacOSX.lha As for the icons, I don't really remember exactly which iconset I did use, but I can get back to you on that one. |
Leifern Posts:298 | February 09, 2006, 09:52:44 PM I don't get it.. How does everyone get such nice workbenches.. I'm running OS3.9, but i can't get mine to look like that. I've been playing around with VisualPrefs but i don't know what to do... I downloaded Feelin', but didn't understand anything.. Feelin' is something completely different from what i'm looking for.. Isn't it..? For starters, how do i remove the workbench "borders"..? |

zombi Posts:123 | February 07, 2006, 03:07:25 PM There should be a web page for workbench customizations. There is plenty for xp. |
