Description: Finished!!!!! I've removed the two big and hot 2 Gig. Scsi drives and replaced them with this Simpletech 512 Mb Solid State Hard Drive. I have it installed and it is now my primary drive. I divided it into a 150 meg. Workbench partition and a 3?? meg. other partition. I'm only using 37% of the WB partition with a full OS 3.9 Install and other goodies like Picasso 96 and Mediator drivers/config software. The memory you see is the edge of my Cyberstorm, you can get a perspective of it's size from that ![]() Picture Stats: Views: 2821 Filesize: 280.13kB Height: 768 Width: 1024 Posted by: J-Golden at December 04, 2005, 01:08:08 AM Image Linking Codes

xaccrocheur Posts:430 | December 06, 2005, 06:57:17 PM I'd really like one of those babies in my 1200 !! It would then be TOTALLY silent ! Think about it ! How UBER COOL ! Give me one of those solid-state drives, I'll make sure that it does'nt run out of batteries  |
J-Golden Posts:1325 | December 06, 2005, 04:47:33 PM It's a Simple Tech Creation. If you go onto their website under "commercial" devices, you can find all the specs on it. It has standard 5-Meg. read/write time with 20 meg burst. They make then up to 2-Gig. and come in 44-pin versions (for all you A1200 &A600 ppl.) as well :-D. A fellow Amigan and good friend works for the company so that's how I was able to get my hands on one. Not really sure other ways... J-Golden |
