Description: This is just a rough concept of what I might do with my A4000T. Basically I want to turn it into a desktop. The advantages will be: smaller, lighter, better access to CPU...and a new case 'cos mine is battered and bruised. Component key: 1 = Lithium battery pack 2 = Case cooling fan (80mm) in line with CPU card 3 = LEDs and keylock 4 = Ports module, rotated and moved down 5 = Zorro cards (as if all were populated) 6 = Mobo and CPU area (as if fully populated) 7 = Internal speaker (may be on new mount) 8 = CDRW 9 = Floppy 10 = HD1 (attached to accelerator card SCSI) 11 = Compact Flash card (via IDE to CF adapter) 12 = HD2 (attached to disk module / onboard SCSI) 13 = PSU, rotated 90 degrees Picture Stats: Views: 2006 Filesize: 204.04kB Height: 768 Width: 1024 Posted by: X-ray at December 02, 2005, 04:36:33 PM Image Linking Codes

AMC258 Posts:877 ![]() | December 27, 2007, 02:40:59 AM I would expect it to cause more harm to the floppy drive than a hard drive. Granted, it should be ok, but I still wouldn't risk it. |
X-ray Posts:4370 ![]() | May 29, 2006, 06:45:42 PM I doubt it will cause any harm, it will be between the back of the floppy drive and the psu. |
