AmigaEd Posts:512 | November 04, 2008, 03:59:10 AM Shortly after Commodore showed the Amiga BMX prototype(1) at the 1994 CES, Atari released a similar looking unit. The Atari unit cost less but lacked some of the features of the Amiga BMX prototype. Most notably missing from the Atari unit was the seat. It seems that Atari engineers felt that a sharp stick would be cheaper to produce and provide a more realistic gaming experience for the user(2). (1) M.R. x56h34 Posts:2921 | September 01, 2005, 05:34:10 PM Ahhh, the good old Amiga BMX prototype. IIRC, only 3 were produced. Commodore were really going all over the place with their designs, as this Amiga in a bike model clearly proves. No wonder they filed for bankrupcy. |
