Description: Hey Yo!

Here is a photo of The Great CU_AMiGA's Atari Lynx, games and the wonderful GP32.

Aside from the Atari Lynx and GP32 system, you can see, i have laid my Atari Lynx games in a Christianity Crucifix shape. Now, many of my adoring fans will probably go "why the devil has The Great CU_AMiGA done that then?!". Here is the reason: I felt a spiritual presence while taking these pictures (maybe it was Jay Miner himself trying to contact me, and congratulating on what a great work i have done on the Amiga scene, and Amiga.org in general). So i thought it would be best to respect the spirt and lay the Atari Lynx games out in a Crucifix shape.

The Atari Lynx is another wonderful system. Not too many games were released for this beauty, but most of them were great. Of course, the achilles heal with this syetm was the battery life (around 5 hours maximum). So it wasn't too popular when it was competing with the GameBoy (which had 10 hours batter life), which although much technically inferior (as the Atari Lynx was so much ahead of it's time), was much more a portable system than the Atari Lynx ever was. The Gameboy used 4xAA batteries, and the Atari Lynx used 6xAA batteries). Which is a shame, as it's a really great system. The systems and games can be picked up relatively cheap (apart from the rarest of games - ie: Lemmings) on auction sites like ebay.

The Atari Lynx in this picture is a model 2 Atari Lynx. This model was really improved over the previous model. Better/clearer screen, smaller size, improved batter life - you name it, every improvement is here. You'd have to respect Atari on this one, on the improvemtns they made to this model. If only thr model 2 Atari Lynx had been first launched in 1989, head-to-head with the GameBoy, maybe Nintendo would have had a fight on it's hands. Anywa, beside the Atari Lynx (on the left) are some Atari Lynx game cards that i have (some rare - check it out!). Game cards for the Atrai Lynx is further evidence at how great and ahead of it's time the Atari Lynx was, very nice games. Here is the list i have (from top left to right bottom): Lemmings - Batman Returns - Gauntlet - Chips' Challenge - Paperboy - Slime World - California Games - Ninja Gaiden 3 - Klax - Crystal Mines 2.

Just above the Atari Lynx is the GP32. This is another great Handheld system, this time made in South Korea. Although, commercially, this system is little use (with the exception of the kick ass Pinball Fantasies), "underground wise" the system is a major system. By "underground" i mean PD Games, emulators, etc - very much like the Amiga scene in it's heday before it was swamped with big headed smart assed morons who think they are better than everyone else and treat you unfairly (take a look in #amiga.org chat to get a jist of what i am on about). Anyway, the GP32 uses the now old fashioned Smart Media Cards for storage (upto 128MB). The card i have installed is 128MB. On this card, i have only emulators and ROMs. Excellent little system it is. It uses AA batteries and can last upto 15 hours when using 2500mah rechargeable batteries. I believe Amiga.org member Bobsonsirjonny is a fan of the GP32 scene and GP32 owner as well.

Jeez, I forgot what a treasure CU_AMiGA was!

You know, the guy was alright really, it was when he let his schoolmates crapflood the forums with crap rapping and {bleep} about WWF wrestling that it all got annoying.
