Description: Here is a photo of CU_AMiGA's Amiga 1200 running Sonic The Hedgehog under AmiMasterGear. Before i go on, i must say this is probably my favourite photo i have taken of my Amiga 1200 in action. This photo manages to capture everything that is relevance to my Amiga 1200. The computer desk is also really cool, and presents the Amiga 1200 in great fashion (which is important), and allows you to have loads of space for stuff including Amiga 1200, television or monitor, mouse, keyobard, joypad or joystick, plus the Disk Box. As many of my adoring fans may have guessed, i pride myself on presentation and a clean space. This time my Amiga 1200 is nicely setup on a proper computer desk. I had to make do with the crappy 14" portable television, but that is not too much of a problem. The camera manages to capture the screen really well this time, you can clearly see the Sonic The Hedgehog game running on the Amiga 1200 - perfectly! The emulator used to run this game is called AmiMasterGear - a Sega Master System/Sega Game Gear emulator. If anyone hasn't heard of this emualto, then you are missing out big time. It runs the majority of games at great speeds (perfectly i believe on even an 68030 clocked at 50mhz), even the Sonic games. So if you haven't got this emulator, then grab it now! :-) Beside the Amiga 1200 is the mouse (Amiga and Atar compatible), which is okay. More importantly, beside the Amiga is the CD32 Comptetition Pro control pad. I have always loved the Sega Mega Drive style of controllers (the 2 buttoned ones), so i couldn't resist in picking this one up. As some of my adoring fans know, it is recomemended to have a CD32 controller for some FPS games, and maybe some of the later games like Payback (also installed on my Amiga 1200 -great!), so that these games can take full advantage of the extra buttons on the CD32. Using a CD32 controller is much better than using a joystick (1 or 2 buttoned), and also hacking a 3 buttoned Sega Mega Drive controler, just so that you can use it on the Amiga systems. Alongside this lot, is the Amiga 500 PSU, used to power up the system itself. Just above this is a Disk Box full of Amiga Disks, such as: Workbench Disks, Driver Disks, Applications, etc. Also inside are old Cover Disks. Can anyone guess what cover disk (and Disk Number) is at the front of the Disk box? (alongside the Workbench 3.0 Disk). Doppie1200 Posts:497 ![]() | July 07, 2005, 09:59:51 PM Nice computer desk. Allthough I would add a 1084S to the setup and toss the TV. The TV is situated a bit high for any productivity things (programming for instance). You will have a stiff neck looking up all the time. As for the rest; really nice. I am surely going to check up on more emulators. |
