Yes, the board have an underneath shield.! |
Oliver Posts:803 ![]() | April 20, 2006, 02:46:06 PM I'm pretty sure it would not reduce the noise seen by the Amiga chips, unless you have much other noisy equipment nearby. The shielding reduces the radiation seen by the amiga from external sources, it also reduces the radiation to external sources from the amiga. For the Amiga's own radiation, it will actually be partially reflected by the shielding on top. There's no shielding undernieth, right? Can't rememer now. This design may well not pass current emc standards, particularly if you have a PPC accellerator running at a few hundred MHz (basically unshielded). Still, it's only moderate frequencies & low currents, so not a big deal. |

Karlos Posts:16878 | December 10, 2003, 12:11:08 AM That old top sheilding is a rare sight these days. I often wondered if theres any reason to put it inside a towered system? Reduce electrical noise in paula maybe? My 1200D still has the sheilding in, thankfully my old seagate is very slim :-) |
