Marcin1982 Posts:133 ![]() | September 05, 2016, 10:37:05 PM that is bullshit ! I use always 1N4148 in Amiga systems and never had problem with rtc |
rkauer Posts:3263 | May 10, 2007, 02:57:20 AM No way! Never use a silicon diode! They drop the battery voltage 0.7V, sufficient to prevent the RTCs to work. Use germanium instead, i.e., 1n60 or others (again: never a silicon one, nor a zener, obviously). They drop batt. voltage only 0.3V. |

orange Posts:2796 | September 21, 2005, 01:31:16 PM unfortunately, canned air cannot remove fine dust, it would be best to try some brush (dont forget to take care of static electricity) |

patrik Posts:1287 ![]() | November 03, 2003, 06:23:31 PM @Herewegoagain: Read the guide LithBatt before you start replacing the battery. It mentions the things you should think about when doing this modification and how to do this modification properly. I read it before modifying my A2000 pictured above and I strongly recommend it. Good luck replacing your battery! /Patrik |

restore2003 Posts:786 | October 30, 2003, 06:04:21 PM Commodore should have made anti leakage Military Spec NiCD batteries instead :-D ok ok, i know.....no more mil spec talk, it has infested the whole amiga.org :-o |
