What a fun read, at the very least for historical purposes! My copy just showed up today. A lot of the information in it seems to be plain common sense, but apparently forgotten by many current commercial developers across many platforms. I don't think I've used a mainstream piece of software with a logical flow to it for many years now.
From the page 4 sidebar:
The user needs: predictability, intuitiveness, accessibility, consistency, feedback, adaptability, and simplicity
I find all of those elements lacking/absent in my Windows sessions. The taskbar/startmenu has gotten out of control... :-o
I recommend that all UI developers take a look at this book.
