Amiga Wins Thendic Lost
« on: October 18, 2003, 12:01:27 PM »
At our User group meeting (Amicue) the other night one of our memberssaid that Amiga won the case that Thendic brought against it.  I've not seen anything else about it and have searched ann.lu for any info about it.  Rich (Stalker) Woods website at merlancia.us doesn't mention anything about it. Although there's new news about Nova winning a $300,000 judgement against Merlancia's fake Dr. Ryan.  According to my user group friend, the judge threw out Thendic's case against Amiga Inc., but no costs were awarded because the case never actually went to trial.  Anybody with any more info on this?
Slightly off topic, does anybody have any broad hints about where Amiga's German inventory disappeared to, as McEwan gave the distinct impression that they knew where it went.  (There have been crates of Amiga boards that were sent back to Commodore Germany for repair/disposal come up for sale on ebay.de, although there may be a perfectly rational explanation as to why an individual is selling them.)  :-?

This Thendic - AmigaInc case has only resheduled due AmigaIncs (or
more accurately McEwen's) delay tactics. See those Files Rich Woods
has been put in his site.

The remaining of comodore Germany were bought out by Vesalia (and maybe 3 1/2 Computer too).
I belive you are talking about those A1200 and A600 boards sold on Ebay ten each in a Commodore transport box. Those are sold by DCE. They are sold as untested and defective and that is true, out of the 10 A600 Boards I bougt only one worked and one had a defective IDE Port, the rest was dead. Well it was cheap and I only wanted the transportbox as a collectors item anyway.
Not really interesting, but it`s there.

Yeah, and that's AFAIK all there's is to say about this news, I don't see a reason why the ann thread is alread 90+ post long even if this is good for A Inc, it's  not that bad for Thendic either.

Well. On ann.lu.. Any post that attracts couple trolls gets 200 or
400 replies in them.

One can usually see that real useful news, like annoucements of new
software get only couple comments. Unless, if someone replying manages
to awaken trolls.. :-)

Sad, but true..

One can usually see that real useful news, like annoucements of new software get only couple comments.

Well, I read the latest post as well now, it's not that bad considering the past hickups on ANN.

Unless, if someone replying manages
to awaken trolls..
:-)

Erm, maybe people should stop submitting news items on ANN to stop the trolling there ??  :-P

The reason why the ANN thread will be touching 200 soon enough is because over 60% of the posts in the thread belong to 3 people who feel that saying the same thing 20 times in the same thread will get their point across better.

And this is different from any other 200+ ANN thread ? ;-)

I have nothing against ANN as it's a good place to get news fast, but as a "forum" it's getting a bit "I've read that so many times.."

The same happened here (with the "Thendic-Amiga Lawsuit Judge DENIES Sanctions Against Amiga" news item).

It really shows how people are not following the events and have absolutely no clue of the situation.

That it is a good or bad thing, is not for me to decide.
