Hi all,

Alien Breed was released today on iOS and having purchased it this morning I can give it a big thumbs up!

Well i guess it's because it also contains the enhanced version as well with better graphics and sound

Depends on what you call enhancements. Alien Breed: tower assault  has an fmv intro and outro but i wouldn't call this an "enhancement". But i will take your word for it i haven't played it :)

Sweet. Except I don't have an iOS device. When's the Android version out?

I like the idea of using this with an iCade cabinet and iPad though.

Shame there's no local multiplayer via Bluetooth or WiFi. Also the game could do with some CRT emulation in the classic mode, it's too pixelly otherwise.

Thats just the way resolutions scaled end up looking..

I will try it later but I think that virtual controls may be not so good.

And yesterday Pinball Fantasies was also released on IOS  :)

That's why it needs a CRT filter as many emulators include to try and achieve an authentic look.

And, 4.99 it's 5x times more than what I normally pay for iOS games. They'll probably reduce it to 1.99 in a month or two. I can wait.

actually had a quick go, not too bad.
 
Glad apple have upped their 3g download limit to 50mb from 20mb :)
