Just stumbled onto something today that may be of relevance: GigaMem. Has anyone tried this on their Efika system? Wish I would have known I had it when I had my machine. Might have solved some of these memory issues. This program creates virtual memory from any mass storage device up to 1GB for an Amiga system...

I'm guessing it also requires an 68k processor with an MMU?

Maybe I wasn't clear: my idea was to use Compact flash or SD card  adapter to replace internal mac mini hard drive .

Huh? mac mini hard drive in an efika?

My understanding is these would be faster than 5400rpm hard drive;the Ultra III 4GB Compact Flash card I have states 30MB transfer rate.

i have order both CompactFlash and SDHC card adapters to 44 pin ide to try.

For efika I'm not sure those 30MB/s will help much, I think we're still dealing with PIO transfers on that, but of course seeks will be faster. And if you meant to post this in a mini thread, the HDD (5400 rpm) in my mini handles twice that transfer rate.
