Amiga Planet 2002 Italy
« on: July 17, 2002, 12:55:10 AM »
On Saturday 21st and Sunday 22th of September will be held, at "Palazzo delle Esposizioni" in Empoli (Florence) , the sixth italian fair commited to the Amiga Platform and, for the first time, open to alternative platforms:

PIANETA AMIGA 2002 (Amiga Planet 2002)

Among the exibitors will be present, as usual, hardware and software dealers from Italy and other nations. During the fair it will be possible to see and buy exclusive products, you will be able to speak with the most important "actors" of the italian and international Amiga scene, you will meet very important people of the Amiga world, you will be able to show your works and to exchange opinions and ideas with other amigans.

In this edition you'll likely have the opportunity to see in action the new AmigaONE G3SE with the new Amiga OS4 for PowerPC and the Pegasos together with MorphOS, the AmigaOS-compatible operating system written for the PowerPC.  Both of these systems will offer the possibility to run Linux for PowerPC and, for a full backwards compatibility with old software, the Amiga UAE for PowerPC.

A working (beta of) OS4 on the A1 in September ?

1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

I think a "no" is in place here. But I find it misleading because you really get the idea it will be running OS4.

@Coder

I really hope that bPlan/Thendic will be able to atleast make a
presentation like the one in Bordeaux somewhere in Germany before.

Would be nearer for you, and I could finally find out what kind of
gnome is hiding under that bucket  :-D

Morphos/Pegasos on tour? Are there any schedules on when they will give some presentations. And indeed Kronos, should be in Germany. And then I can take of the bucket too. No warrant for me in Germany. Only Holland. :-D

I will report you to "Opsporing Verzocht" or the German version "Aktenzeichen XY ... ungelöst" so I can collect the reward money and finance a Pegasos board..hehehe

Wow that makes 2 out of 3, but how I gone get Red
onto the right side is still a big riddle ....

Well, I'm already getting an AmigaOneG3-SE developer board, but I have no money left for a Pegasos. So, on second thought, I will deliver my fellow Dutchman Coder to the police, collect the 250.000 Euro and party all night long with real life amiga's..Yeah baby, shake that ass!..lol  :-D
