A look into the future, how does this look?
« on: June 03, 2003, 11:04:42 PM »

Well, it's just a dream of mine. The reason I stuck this into the gaming section is because Zydrax (and yes the name copyright) will be dedicated to mostly making games for the Amiga. Hopefully.

Well, that'll be my future job/pastime. Running my own multi-media/gaming company for the Amiga purpose.

You never know, maybe some of you will wish to work for me (Riiiight)

And an addition to this post (after viewing another): We(or I) will concentrate more on Gameplay than graphics. I understand the elements of a good game.

Wish I could delete my own posts... for this is going no where.

Looks fine to me, minimalistic and stylish. At least its not one of those raytraced ones everyone was using some years ago. They really got tiresome.

@Caldrin,

Not sure why you think it's going nowhere.  Not even really sure what the point of your initial post was.  You're dreaming of creating a software company?  What will you produce?

Games, mostly RPGs. Other various works of multi media, including music videos, independant films possibly. Websites, using flash, java, html, etc.

Really anything that has to do with Interactive Multimedia... but mainly good, fun, games.

I thought the post was going no where due to no one replying... until now.

The original point of the post was just to let people know that I have interest in creating games for everyone to play ^_^ (maybe getting a small 'band' together)

Here is a new one I did... transparent background (I love PNGs), and a bigger Z to balance the picture out a bit.

Probably will be hard to see on this.

Small Addition: Here is some Irony, I made this on a Windows using Adobe Photoshop.

Give me a shout when you want to release some games.

RPG's are awesome, I reccommend (heck, always) Advanced Dungeons and Dragons.

AmigaOne! Don't worry, SWs a comin'!!!  :-)

So I guess that A500, 600, 1000, 2000, CDTV, CD32, are pure garbage then? Thanks for posting here.

I am quite familiar with AD&D, for I play it in my spare time. I also have my own AD&D creation slowly forming, maybe we'll see it in a future game of mine.

Just don't get a license from that movie a couple of years ago. I went to see it on opening day. The theatre was full of people.

I was embarrassed when I was leaving. It was AWFUL!!!!

AmigaOne! What's the WORST movie license game ever? Don't port it!!!

Indeed, I remember leaving the same way. I knew most people wouldn't look at AD&D the same way again after that movie.

And thank you for the offer of assistance (it was an offer, correct?), Matt Parsons.

(When will I stop being Merely Curious? Because I'm not just merely curious anymore.)

Of course. I will help anyone on Amiga.org if I can.

And before you ask, Yes I do own AhSoDiT Production Ltd. and no, I don't have any spare capital... at the moment, it's all tied up, maybe I should copy the Genesi plan, they seem to have made lots of Money.

I remember a great saying: "It's much easier to make a Million, if you have a million to start with."

With RPG's you surely mean "real" RPG's and not something, that people just like to call RPG's (Such as Final Fantasy series) ?

Well, some called even Hexen "RPG-like" game, becouse you could choose your character :-)

I've been developing a strategy game myself, not much RPG elements there, but I've been thinking about implementing possibility to develop characters... In fact, I don't know if that's a good idea, as I have been concentrating on making it multiplayer game...

Ofcourse I plan to make TRUE RPGs! I know what you mean by the Final Fantasy series, not that I don't like them though.

Just for fun, I may even make some LOOK old school. ^_^  There is just something about old school graphics that make me feel all warm inside.

Ever play Seiken Densetsu (spelling) III (for Super Nintendo, never brought to America, but can find english ROMS) That game was a GREAT RPG, I loved the graphics (sprites) I plan to make some of my games somewhat like that.

Strategy games are definately nice games, and I think character development in one would make them even better. Just don't put in too many RPG elements within it.

That's an interesting one. If you are interesting in game music I can do the job.... :-)
