Title: Pimiga
Post by: bradhansen1 on July 11, 2020, 05:20:44 PM
Hello All, trying to get a copy of Pimiga for my Pi 3b+. First of all, when it says lockeddown, does this mean it won't recognize any
other Thumb drives connected thur usb? I downloaded 1.0, it was on complete download file, put it on a new 32gig chip. Starts up but does
not seem to load the system. Falls back to the Amibian front end showing only the A4000 configuration. But wouldn't recognize my
thumb drive, so no way to startup in floppy to trouble shoot. Went to a site where version 1.2 is, only it is broken into 5 parts. So
first question: How do I get all 5 parts back together into a file I can burn to the chip? Second, my mac could not open the first part even though
it was named just like the single file I downloaded and opened no problem? Any help at all would be appreciated.
Thank you, Brad Hansen

Unzip the first file and it should create a img file you can write to a SD card.

Yes, Continuing with my issues I am also unable to UnZip the files I download. I got WinZip for Mac
no luck, crashed the program (repeatedly).  Unarchiver says "the content can not be extracted with
Unarchiver. Any advise would be helpful.

Dont use a mac lol. Joking aside have you downloaded all 5 files to the same location. Once all 5files are downloaded then you just need to unzip them by selecting the first file. The unzipped file should be a .img file this can then be written to a sd/usb stick using somethng like the below:

Hope this helps.

Thanks for taking the time to help out.  So I can load all 5 image files at once onto the chip?
