I qualify for the upgrade price. I was looking at the Cloanto site last night trying to decide.

I got mine!
Go Amiga Forever!!!

Just picked up the physical copy and download. Awesome package!

Can you tell much difference from previous versions? I am sure I am going to buy it... I have bought nearly all of their updates...
I really want to hear if the OS 4.1 (PowerPC) emulation has improved.... it was OK before... but not really useful.... I know the classic version of OS 4.1 is not as nice as the version that runs on my AmigaOne X5000, but I would like something sort of useful to take on the road with me...
Thanks!

@ slygon
The main issue impairing 4.1 on Classics (and UAE) was that it could only support the Fast RAM on the Cyberstorm/Blizzard PPC, limiting it to 128MB or 256MB, respectively. With FE Update 1, now Zorro III RAM can be used as Fast RAM as well (e.g., ZorRAM, BigRAM). Since UAE can emulate Zorro III RAM, 4.1 under emulation should be a much better experience now.
Previously, Zorro III RAM could only be used as swap space.

Upgrade Price?
You say there is an upgrade price to upgbrade e.g. from AF 2016 to AF7?
I was looking for such info on the Cloanto AF7 pages but couldn't find anything in this regard.
But maybe it is just still too early in the morning to find it...

Having access to more RAM (about 650 MB seems to be the max without running out of address space in OS4) definitely helps. However it's still pretty limited and sluggish, even on a high-end PC. But a great way to get a feel for AmigaOS 4 and decide if it's something you want to invest in. Certainly usable, but don't expect to browse complex web sites or watch Youtube...
I still think FlowerPot is the best solution if you're only interested in AmigaOS 4. It makes it incredibly easy to set everything up. I previously had a manual install I had done, but the FP version works much better and gave me more usable RAM due to setting up all the expansions correctly.

I think they're emailing out upgrade offers individually or something. I got mine in the email this morning.

I just ordered the Premium version. Not bad but I don't really notice much diffrence from the Amiga Forever 2016 that my friend has installed on his system.
-
Awesome news, a brand new version of Amiga Forever!
-
Does the Amiga 30 edition of AF qualify for upgrades?
-
I got mine from Amigakit about a week ago.
Thanks mates.
