Title: Is something happening?
Post by: paranha on September 23, 2007, 02:10:45 PM
Hello lads.

Jumped into the homepage for the sam440.

That card is released for industrial use and will we launched for the end user market in the end of this month according to their web site.

Does anybody have some news about what's happening?

It doesn't appear to run any OS. Well, that's news, sort of.

Afaik it was available for people to buy on planet amiga show that was yesterday.. But like the previous poster said, it has no real OS to run.
It does not look like OS4 will ever run on it thanks to Amiga INC.

Today, nothing.  Tomorrow could be a different story (http://thenostromo.com/teamaros2/?number=60).

I wonder if anyone bought it just for staring at the UBoot-screen.

I saw some video clip from PA 2007 where someone appeared to be buying one. There were also pictures from some Amiga Party in Hungary over the weekend where they had one. I guess for now they make good paperweights.

HI!
I think SAM440p was very good mobo!
And maybe OS4 will run on it soon...
Stay tuned...
