Ok, found something interesting. If I put the programs that don't run in my work partition they work fine but if they ar in any other partition they give me the error.
Thoughts?

Could be a MaxTransfer problem. The ProTracker executable is bigger than 128K. If you try to load it from a partition with MaxTransfer > 128K on the internal IDE bus, the file is corrupted and cannot be loaded as a program.

Files are also currupted during write, so after correcting MaxTransfer you have to copy all files bigger than 128K again.

Is this a setting that I can change during the initial setup of the partitions?

Does the program work if you run it from the DOS shell?

Code: [Select]

3.System 3.1:> cd music:
3.Music:> pt315

Yes, it should be set in HDToolbox when creating a partition. But for SCSI the limit is 32 MB or even more rather than 128 KB.

So I just swapped out tha drive and put in a smaller 2.6gb drive and everything is working properly now. It must have been something with the former drives size being 9.1 gb although I did not use anything outside of the 4gb limit.
