It's part of the GeekGadgets archive, which forms(ed) a better structured repository for this stuff than Aminet does.

Unfortunately GeekGadgets is down and may stay that way, so the archive is no longer available on-line.

One place to get it is on the Amiga Unix Compendium at Schatztruhe.

From what I understand gcc 3.2 will ship in the developer CD for OS4.  Perhaps you might have more luck looking for a higher version prior to 3.2 that's more current.

GCC 2.95.3 is the latest you'll find for 68k AmigaOS. I'm not sure if MorphOS has a newer one, but there's nothing more recent for AmigaOS.

In fact 2.95.3 is arguably more compatible than gcc 3, as there are a number of projects which will simply not compile with gcc 3. UAE is reputed to be one such, so if there will be an AmigaOS4 version of UAE, there will either have to be a gcc 2.95 for AmigaOS4, or else a cross-compiler will be needed. (Unless the gcc 3 incompatibilities are fixed in UAE before then, that is)

Everything was on GeekGadgets, and we are left with a big hole now that that's gone. There's an Irish mirror of the web site still running, but that does not mirror the actual files or the ftp site.

It's hard to believe GeekGadgets just doesn't have a full mirror anywhere.

If you get desperate, drop me a PM with your address and I'll mail you a CD with a copy of the GG ftp site. Hopefully it's not too out of date.

Like I said, the Schatztruhe URL I gave earlier does have it, but I realise the Amiga Unix Compendium is not that cheap if you only want gcc.
