Compact Flash Adapter won't work
« on: May 14, 2011, 12:04:44 PM »
Hello people,

I posted a couple of weeks ago about a compact flash adapter that wouldn't work on my A1200. I purchased it on eBay - It's a SanDisk if that helps.

Can anyone recommend to me the best Flash Adapter that will work 100% guranteed :) ??? Mind you thinking about it, could it be the actual flash card that might not work with the A1200? I bought a 2GB Transcend Card 133x

Your help would be much appreciated.

Why not but it from an Amiga dealer? At least you know it will work. I bought a CF adaptor with a 4GB card for something like 30 Euros from Vesalia for an A4000 which worked fine.

It certainly could be the compact flash card itself that does not work.  I purchased an adapter from Amigakit that works well, but not with some flash cards!

Maybe it's one of those types that shows up as a removable device rather than a harddisc?

Confused ?  Is it Sandisk or Transcend ?
I have plain but original (not copy) SanDisk Ultra 8GB CFCards in both my A1200 and A4000.  Work great.
