Aminet Shareware favorites (forgotten) :/
« on: December 12, 2002, 10:07:27 AM »
Ok, I remember a LONG time ago, well maybe only 4 years ago or so, I used to have a really kool shareware Demo of a game that I think was called Fish Finger? I don't know why that name comes to mind, but I think that is correct. Anyhow in the game you controlled a really really tiny guy with a gun, and you had to run about levels climinbing mountains and all, shooting down all the bad guys before they shot you, it was all side view, and that is all I can remember. There was also another game sort of like it, where you had a microscopic guy that you controlled, and you ran around and could kill people at random during your quest, I recall shooting down the enemy with uzi's and beating down old ladies with a bat. This game was also side view, and took place in the city. If any one can recall what games there are that would be awsome, I a have gone over and over the aminet archive trying to download and test a ton of the games on there, and have not ran back into them yet. :/

That sounds like about all the games in the platform genre... :)

Ya, I've looked high and low, but still have a few million games to unpack and test... :)

If it's any comfort, I think I know what game you're talking about. It was supposed to be increadibly violent. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name either. :-(

The second game is DAMAGE! I've necer seen it's full version anywhere in stores but there are couple of sites offering adf-s. The first disk runs in UAE correctly but when you enter second, it freezes:(
Anyway, the demo itself is pretty fun:))

@Mad-Matt

I remember when you and I tried for hours to copy that damn frigging second disk with various hardware and software solutions such as X-Copy, Cyclone, D-Copy, your dad's external floppy adaptor and the one I bought. :)

The first game you mentions is called Alien Fish Finger. It's
a very addictive game with great gameplay. I only ever had
the demo though. One of the few games I played through
and through several times just because the controls were
so nicely setup.

The second you mention is Damage. It's freeware
nowadays and the full game can be downloaded legally from
the developers homepage. I bought it at the time though.
It's very good and funny, but hideously difficult once you
quit playing around and try to complete some part of it - I
have never found any way to heal, all damage stays. The
drugs you can take to boost your health all kill you after
some specified time...?

I knew Fish Finger had something to do with the name, I'm not insane after all, it was real!! :)

Hey, thankx a lot, you guys have fully made my day, think I'll grab what I can and burn the rest the day off in UAE till I have to goto work.

If anyone runs across a full version of Alien Fish Finger, or knows how to purchase a full copy, please let me know!
