Announcement from E3B About Subway A1200 USB Hardware
« on: September 02, 2002, 01:50:37 AM »
Michael Böhmer from E3B made following announcement:

Source: Amigart

"Economy in Germany is not in a very good condition, and also our small Amiga market is affected by this development...Due to the high demand for the HIGHWAY Zorro version we shifted the SUBWAY production...

After the unwillingly elongated production run for the NORWAY we now would like to keep our promise from the trade show not to forget the "small" Amiga 1200...

It is important for us to know how many SUBWAY units will be demanded by our customers. We need a good estimation to be able to plan the production and offer you - as we want to at E3B - a completely convincing product...

If you are seriously interested in a SUBWAY, then please contact us bye mail: mboehmer@e3b.de ."

Whilst I understand the need for a company to guage their potential market I don't think this is the best way to go about it.

Anyone could e-mail them and say that they are interested and then change their mind the next minute.

The other option, Pre-Payment is not popular in the Amiga industry either (for obvious reasons).

It really must be difficult for the few emaining Amiga developers to get an accurate sales forecast.

What other options do they have :-?
