Description: Ok, its obviously a photo... | October 21, 2009, 01:57:32 AM Just saw this image again, and I take back that comment I made 6 years ago (God, is it really that long??) about Manchester being the rain capital of the world... now living in Dublin where it rains pretty much continuously from late August through to late May of the following year, I miss Manchester. |

Anyway its nice to see that there a more Amiga users from Manchester registered at A.Org. I think that somebody should set up a new user group in the area. Maybe we could invite the OS4 on Tour group over to Bowlers computer fair. Sure to attract a lot of interest. Just a thought. ;-) |

As to the club, I don't think it's still active, but if the guy who set it up is Derek of Classic Amiga (I think that may have previously been Classic PD) then he's still around, but he's stopped trading in Amiga stuff (unsurprisingly). I don't think I've ever met any Amiga fans here - you are all probably too busy swimming about. I'm in Altrincham and the weather is grey and wet. My how the other half lives! :-) That mate, strictly speaking is Nutsford Vale in Longsight :-) The small patch of 'green' in the bottom left corner is the edge of the bowling green adjoning Longsight Cricket Club. The main road running through the picture is East Road which is technically where I live... The view is looking towards Victoria Park/Rusholme but neither are particularly visible behind the trees and the copious precipitation :-) The city centre would be off right of the picture but the University of Manchester's Maths tower is just visible near the right horizon. A pretty wet day and this morning is no better! |
