AmiBoy Posts:355 | February 05, 2008, 11:30:03 PM I love "western style" dragons and this picture is cool! |
Homer Posts:1166 | December 26, 2006, 10:30:33 AM I guess you are asking if it has 'Va-va-BOOM' |
odin Posts:6796 | November 18, 2005, 02:46:26 PM Hydrogen sacks eh... Is the dragon related to the Hindenburg? ;-). |
MAD Posts:962 | May 14, 2004, 04:13:23 PM Hoya! Here is one of my biggest frustrations... Not being able to draw. :-( It is way cool. Be funky M A D |
SlimJim Posts:752 | November 09, 2003, 12:27:40 AM @Methuselas Thanks! I'll take your suggestions about the tail into consideration. As it is, it constitutes roughly 40% of the dragon's total length, but perhaps you're right that it could do with more maneuverability. However, a dragon this size would (physically) NEVER be able to do any advanced aerobatics ... ;-) . SlimJim |
Methuselas Posts:2205 | November 07, 2003, 08:44:24 AM @Slim, That's some KILLER pencils. I always draw the SCIFI/comic style, but I have MUCH respect for those with the Fantasy style. Still, if it's a winged creature, his tail should be a bit longer, expecially since from the body style, it seems he would use it as a rudder, allowing tighter aerial moves. Killer skills, though. |
Karlos Posts:16867 | September 21, 2003, 01:47:08 AM Never trust any creature with adiapose rear legs! :-o That's one beastie I really wouldn't like to bump into on a dark night. Or a light one come to think of it... Or even broad daylight  |
SlimJim Posts:752 | September 20, 2003, 03:15:55 PM The hydrogen sacks are located inside the ribcage, symmetrically around the center of mass. Each carries about 16 cubic meters of gas, if I remember correctly (don't have the schematics with me right now). . SlimJim |
Mike_Amiga Posts:1448 | September 10, 2003, 08:43:31 PM Damn nice sketch, but where are those helium sacks located? Or are the helium sacks the lungs in the chest cavity? |
SlimJim Posts:752 | September 01, 2003, 08:51:58 PM @Odin Well, have to keep the weight down... :-) . SlimJim |
odin Posts:6796 | August 31, 2003, 11:38:54 PM Very nice, although the body looks a bit too humanoid for my taste, too slender perhaps. |
SlimJim Posts:752 | August 30, 2003, 03:23:51 PM Thanks Kees for getting this up! :-D ------------------------------------------ Well, the picture is pretty self-explanatory. It's the dragon in full-figure and in scale. Wings are partially extended and moved slightly into the picture for sake of clarity and to not obscure the dragon's body. [conceptual sketch, A4, pencils on paper] . SlimJim |
